Lock Poker Maximus Now Running

Online poker tournament players, mark you calendars.  Over the next couple of weeks you have the opportunity to play in yet another blockbuster tournament series at a major online poker room.

Major online tournament events proliferate

It seems as if online poker players just can’t get enough of these big-ticket tournament series.  The latest entry into an already crowded field: The Poker Maximus at Lock Poker.

Running now through March 25th, Poker Maximus boasts a total prize pool of over $1.5 million in guaranteed money.  In addition to the guaranteed money, there’s a high roller tournament, a massive Main Event with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and a leaderboard that adds another $25,000 in value for those who beat out the rest of the field.

Best of all, new players will be clearing their Lock Poker deposit bonus as they play in the Maximus.  The series is made up of 70 distinct events, and you’ll find buy ins ranging from just a buck all the way up to the high rollers event that comes with a price tag of $530.

What is Lock Poker?

Lock Poker is an online poker room that is part of the Merge Network.  Merge is a collection of dozens of individual online poker rooms like Lock that all feed in to a common player pool.  If you’re not familiar with the network concept, think of it as one big poker room with dozens of individual doors into the room.

First major series on the Merge Network

While sites like PokerStars and the iPoker Network have been running these sorts of series for years, this is the first attempt the Merge Poker network has made to host a major online poker tournament series.

The series offers reasonable value to online poker players, especially tournament players who prefer buy ins in the $50 and under range.  If you have the time to pursue the leaderboards and other ongoing promotions running during the series, the value will only increase.
